Bridging the oldest forms of communication with contemporary technology, this piece explores artificial intelligence as a natural extension of printmaking's experimental spirit. By feeding the algorithm an iterative archive of woodcuts, etchings, screen prints, drawing, photographs and discarded marks, I arrived at compositions driven by serendipitous errors that mirror traditional printmaking. Over months of sequencing these AI-generated visuals into frenetic arrangements reminiscent of bustling crowds and digital displays, the work reflects modern cycles of connection and disconnection. To close the loop, the next step returns to the physical press, manually reinterpreting select sections of these digital compositions to test how timeless craft responds to AI-generated structures.
