Shapes, symbols, and structural data are pulled straight from the landscape—construction sites, billboards, transit hubs, commercial frontages—and run through physical studio work to sort the noise.

The city operates on a relentless cycle: construction, demolition, digital overlay. Operating along that constant shift, connected yet untethered, Bianca’s work tracks distraction and overload alongside resilience, focus, and flow.

Steel, zinc, stone, wood, raw earth pigment meet etching, aquatint, lithography, relief, and screenprint. The method is slow, physical, labour-heavy, a counterweight to digital reproduction’s weightless speed, a careful balance between structure and material play.

Biography

Bianca Cork is an artist based in Hong Kong. She studied at Glasgow School of Art, Brighton University and Falmouth University, and has held residencies in Shanghai, Venice, Hong Kong and Japan. Her prints have been shown in international print exhibitions in Tokyo, Shenzhen, Macao, Cremona, Vilnius and Istanbul, and she has twice won a prize at the NBC Meshtec Tokyo International Screen Print Biennial.
